Now for the big one, the panoramic. I took it from the 10th floor and took my shots at angles to get this kind of shape, thought it worked quite well

Went to Old Trafford today for the Super League final; Saints vs Hull. I'm not much of a fan really, I like watching the odd game now and again on TV but haven't been to a game for a few years, and never a big game outside of the local ground. My Dad is the big fan and he won a couple of tickets so I said I'd go too, was a good day overall, and Saints won.

I like the panorama's Neil, just as if they were taken straight from the official Old Trafford website .

Thanks. I like taking panorama's, and I got a new tripod today which will make it easier (my old tripod was only about 3ft but this one is 5ft) Went out to 'test' it today, got a fair few to post, I'll post my regular shots first then the panorama's last.

Now for the panorama's

I think you either hate or love tripods... I hate tripods from the bottom of my heart . I might get a monopod someday but that's about the furthest I will go (probably have to take this back oneday...)

That's the reason why I've been saving up for a telezoom lens with image stabilizer, so no need for tripods . My lens should arrive tomorrow - hopefully not too late on the day so I can go out while the weather's still nice. There are these deer in the park (surrounded by fences!) across the road from our house and a male one with a huge antlers that's been begging for photographs for weeks everytime I ran past it. So yeah - hopefully tomorrow.

Well I like taking night shots and lots of panoramas, so a tripod makes that much easier. That is mostly the times I'd use it, or if I was outside and it was getting a bit dark and I needed to take longer exposures, longer than 1/60 without a tripod get very blurred for me.
