I like the close-up of your dog, Thomas - it's really good.

This pic is very good. The depth in the picture is great.

Thanks. It can be quite difficult to get stuff like that with my camera because the manual focus level isn't very good, especially with something else just metres behind, and the screen is quite small too, but I've gotten used to it and am getting better at getting those kind of shots. Just can't wait until I can afford a new camera (probably the Canon EOS 350D or maybe the 400D)

Sounds great. Fullsize cameras such as those are very good, especially when it comes to manual settings.

Well what I have now is sort of inbetween, its a DSLR but the lens is fixed, and the settings are pretty basic. More advanced than a standard compact camera I suppose, but it is annoying having to select between apeture and shutter priority and not being able to manually set both at once. Plus there are a few dead pixels on my sensor and it is a bit dirty too, and it just so happens to be more noticeable against blue skies, which is a lot of what I take.

Just got these downstairs. My mum has some crystal thing in the window and it reflects/refracts light so there are these little rainbows floating about like this, not quite sure what on the smooth fridge door it was reflecting off in this first one, but it looks good anyway I think

It was an odd day today, sunny one minute and raining the next, went for a walk in the park.
