I like shots like this, framing the window against the sky

This is one of my favourites, I knelt down to take a wider shot and saw this and am glad I got a clean shot of it

The shot I was originally after when I spotted that ^

More leaves, nice colours and shadows

I liked the edge here, the focus just on the top/left leaf, and the bright colours too

Very bright afternoon

You only really need a good enough camera/lens. Mine is pretty basic so I can only manage about this level, which is pretty much no detail

Mine only has an 8x optical zoom so more than 10 would be enough really, and then being able to focus well and get that level of detail. I can't wait to get a new camera, will probably be getting the same one or the next model up from the one Sara has can't wait

Full moon generally shows less detail like craters because there are no shadows on the moon's surface from our point of view. When the sun's illuminating the moon from the side (like with the waxing gibbous (current moon phase) shown in my pic) the craters are casting shadows and you get to see much more detail . You should try taking a moon shot when it's not quite full - I think you can get quite nice pics even with an ultrazoom camera .

My moon shot was taken with my new lens - I'm so happy with it !

I've tried taking ones at different times Sara but never get any better than that really.

It hasn't been clear enough for a while/I haven't tried taking any more, but I doubt I'd get better than that first one

I never tried taking moonshots with my old ultrazoom camera... I guess they're not quite capable of moonshots then . But you'll be able to take many better shots when you get your new camera! The moon will be waiting for you, it won't just disappear !
