Shortly after midnight

A cold, sunny day in the park

Let's begin with some random shots from earlier in the day, and the beautifully coloured sunset

I like the last one Sara, I like taking random ones like that myself, and that effect of grass blowing in the wind like that always looks nice. A few of mine from today:

The Anglican Cathedral (I took my tripod this time)

One of the random art pieces spread across the city

On the train, and boredom sets in

The fun thing of photography is that literally every object in the world becomes really interesting. You just look at the world through completely different eyes .

Life through a lens I've taken about 17,000 photo's in the past 18 months, most of those within the past 12 really, some days I'll be out for a couple of hours purely with the intention to take photo's and I'll come home with near 200 sometimes from just one session, and often of those I'll end up with quite a few that I really like. It's almost a case of serendipity, just managing to get that perfect shot.
Of course the more you get into it the greater control you can get and that can help with the quality of an image, but I feel that for me there is a spontaneity to it, seeing something and attempting to capture it as I saw it. I feel that if I stopped too much and spent too long trying to capture any given thing that I wouldn't appreciate the shot in the same way afterwards.
