Last Sunday evening, we went up to the city to see for ourselves the "Northern Lights" - part of the Festival of Arts. Bear in mind, my camera is reasonably good, but to get great pics I'd have had to either have a good slr and tripod or a whizbang new digital job.
Still, that aside, they are pretty good. Was appalling hot - even at
9pm., but worth it. [we are struggling through a ridiculous heatwave - 11 days over 35'c and 5 days yet to go - temps all over 38'c]
