Would you ever have tought there is a word like this?
English is really unbelivable...and guess what it means: NOT BRAVE....

We learned that word around the 4th grade. Needless to say 9 and 10 year old boys made a big joke of it.

you really did...wow....nobody knew what it means and i have a lot of british friends aor guys who are now ENglish teachers but none of them knew what it means and you learn it in the 4th grade.....


But do you know what OBLOQUY means without looking in a dictionary???

No, I don't know that one. But I'd guess it has something to do with being uneven. That's just a guess. I'm probably so far off base that it's laughable.

No, but it makes sense. "Ob" for against and "loquy" for speech, like soliloquy. (I can say it, but I can't spell it. Spelling was always my worst subject!)
