Default Q + A with Stay Human - V.2 : The Case for Christ.

Hello everyone here at Jovitalk.

For anyone who doesn't know me, my name is Stay, well actually its Matt.
I'm a bit of a drifter jovitalker, I come and go, try to stir things up a bit, with strange alter ego's such as "Arm Hair." I think there are some excellent personalities on this site, and I check the site daily.

Any who, many months ago now, A topic was started Q+A with Stay, where I attempted to answer as many random questions as possible, unfortunately it lost its appeal to me, however, there was a point when it was really cool.

Now, a lot has changed in me over the last 6 months or so, I graduated from university, began to question life, and found myself Rediscovering my faith in Jesus Christ.

I went to christian schools, when I was little I went to Church, and with the inquisitive mind I have, became a full blown Atheist, well not atheist, I believed in some kind of God, but more as some kind of energy force... and I had every argument there was against the image of God that Christianity presents, and against Christianity.

But.

Things happened. And I simply stopped arguing against the thing that gives me the power to argue at all.

Jesus has come and turned me upside down, and my life is changing in the most amazing / awesome way(s).

SO, my NEW idea, many of you are skeptical, many of you are convinced, many of you have questions, and VERY good questions regarding this faith. I guess seeing this Passion film, has stirred something up in me.

So I present to You, Q + A with Stay Human - V.2 : The Case for Christ.

An investigation. So bring on your questions. I want to approach this with all seriousness, I hope at least someone here might find this of interest...

Stump me, but I'm here to be Stay.

if God is all-powerful and almighty, why is he so worried about if people don't believe in him? If he really is what they say he is, why does he have to demand that people worship only him and do as he says? One would think that someone in that position couldn't give less about mere mortals...

In a post about religion a while ago, the idea that if you didn't accept God then you would go to hell and blah blah blah.

A certain person also said that if you repent then you can still go to heaven (if it exists of course)

I put forward the idea that I'm a decent hard workign and generally good guy but i don't believe in God in the religious sense but apparently I'm still going to hell whereas rapists and child murderers who "find God" can get into heaven.

What do you think about that whole situation and don't you think it's a bit ironic of an all loving all caring being sending me to hell for nothing more than refusing to accept God?

If men really descend from Adam and Eve, how does this come together with the fact of the exhaustion of the gene pool (that must have taken place then way earlier)?

Who said God is worried? He is here love him as your saviour or not, all he is doing is informing you on how to live a loved filled better life, like any parent would , if you choose a different path this is your choice.

The idea is if you are Christ like ie all loving and forgiving , then you usually have to have Christ in your life to really achieve this.

As to the theory of how can a rapist get into heaven when a well behaved non christian cant. There are no completely well behaved non christians !
If a rapist has been truly forgiven for his sins then he is no longer a rapist.
