Yes, I did find it profound, and if you read certainly the first 5 or 6 posts on this, then you'll see that other people viewed it in this way....

This is in no way a joke, or intended to be a joke.

As Letitrock suggested before, the significance of the 9months is that in that time, the mother establishes the unconditional love, the bond which would last through their life. For her to loose this baby, is for her to loose a child, which I'd imagine is no less painful that loosing a child at any other stage in it's life. Also, the birth is what everything is leading to, it's suposed to be a joyous occation, a landmark, but when it's maked with such a tragedy then those nine months become even more significant. In this way, somebody who has been through this, should surely be able to apreciate this line more, as they truely will know the importance of these nine months.

The morral of the story being, cherish the moment. It's ment to be something which makes you look at your life, look at what you're doing, and asses what it is you want. We all pass through life taking things for granted, but it's things like this that provoke us to consider what we have, and stop taking things for advantage. I think chocalady posted it because she found it profound, and wanted to share it, because there is something in it to discuss. I think the idea of considering it a 'sick joke' is just something somebody said, who expressed what they saw slightly awkwardly. I doubt very much anybody laughed at it, or found it humorous in any way.....

Also, issues shouldn't simply be avoided. Things like that in many ways define people, I know in myself that I've changed slightly since my Grandma died 18 months ago. But to dismiss this, to avoid reading, or talking about death would be blocking out a part of me. You won't avoid talking about terrorism to somebody from New York, or about nucleur weapons from Hiroshima. Things like this define people in many ways, they change people, and from my experiance, people do want to talk about this sort of thing. When something has such a huge effect on you, it does to some people make them want to talk about it, express how it has effected them....

Nobody was making a joke of the issue. Sure, it wasn't considered, and discussed with deadly seriousnus, nothing here is. People will always see the light side, a way of bringing humour into something that is very profound, and depressing. Just think how this topic has moved into a big debate about free love (p.s, Wolverhampton or Manchester are great for me... I'll be at both). Look at the other topics on the war. 1000's and 1000's of people are potensially going to die, but we are still making slightly of the point jokes, it's human nature. I think I've somewhat lost my point now (fingers got carried away), but it's this, that it was never a joke, there was never any humour in the poem, but the humour came from the people on the board responding to somethign whihc made them reflect on their lives, and also made people feel a little depressed, and greatful for what they have

Buy a book on your sign, and see what is true and what is not ... you could be surprised

Libra is symbolized by the Scales. You can be romantic but particular, diplomatic but indecisive, but ultimately happiest when you're in love. You are extremely artistic and love all aspects of the arts - particularly music. You also have a tendancy of hiding your feelings and you are really quick to forgive.

Symbol: The Scales
Ruling Planet: Venus
Ruling House: Seventh House
Element: Air
Quality: Cardinal
Body Parts: Kidneys
Keyword: PARTNERSHIP
Date with destiny: Gemini, Aquarius
Run for the hills: Cancer, Capricorn
Where you glow: Mediating

What makes you tick: Charm
Fitness forecast: Rowing

Perfect jobs: Beautician, Personal Shopper
Best accessory: A bottle of water
A sure thing: Flirting

Pain: disharmony, solitude, decision-making
What's my line? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

how true would you say this is?

Yes Mike, you're jealous, possessive, the rest you said it , clever, it's better to be your friend

Libra are too temperamental (is it the right word ?), but i think it's a good sign, i like Virgo too , they are a bit too much egoist ... but nevermind
