I used to live in Germany/Munich and was a regular at the Oktoberfest. Well, it is a well known and executed strategy to pick out the Australians and Americans in a crowded tent. This is almost a life-saver for a blond young girl. After all, there will be a time when you have to find the bathroom, which inevitably is on the other side of the tent. So, you have to make your way through a lot of drunk guys. Safest way is through the American and Australian crowd and avoid the drunk Italians at all cost.

I am serious and I am sure you understand why.

I get what you mean, but let me say that Italian guys do that mainly with foreign girls...they are kinda tamed in their own natural environment

And... Italians do drink a LOT less than other European people, you'll hardly ever run across drunk guys when you go out at night.

Wait...this is taking away the freedoms of the French! Isn't that what you all said when the FDA banned that drug here? It was outrageous that the FDA would even think that they could make our decisions for us! Who made the decision to ban Red Bull? Did the people vote it out? That's what I thought.

actually, I may have to agree with you. The only Italy I know is the touristy part - Lago di Garda - though, last time I was there it seemed more German than Italian and Jesolo (sp?) - we used to vacation there and it was the first time I've been to the sea.

Yes I'm not sure they understand me if I go to Lago di Garba and speak Italian to them (kidding :P ). It's true that in the peak season most of the tourists are German lol
