Default remember that story i told about westlife and simon fuller..

and about how people get paid to buy records so bands can get higher placings in the chart.

Guess who's just been asked to do it for a band

Yeah for the little amount of records you have to sell to get a UK number one, this doesnt surprise me. So you gonna tell us which band they're asking you to do it for Jim??

nah it's no one massive and i seriously doubt anyone who doesn't check out upcoming bands would know them but my brothers worked with them before and they do not too bad for themselves.

they done a pretty big gig recently and have a shitload of money as a result so now they're looking for professional buyers to hopefully get their single to go top 10 or 20.

It's sad really, the singles chart are just a nonsense and probably wont be around in a couple of years. Its a shame becos listening to the top 40 rundown on Radio 1 was the thing to do every Sunday. Massive singles in the past have sold over a million copies and now you dont even have to sell 30,000 to get to number 1.

Cliched as it is, downloading has a massive part to play int he downfall of singles, much more so than album sales.

Getting professional buyers isn't illegal or anything it's very widely done and there's all sorts of rules and regulations to make sure nothign untoward goes on.
