look at it this way. for mosty people with real jobs that dont give ut he equivelent of a house in wages every week. u miss or fail a drug test and ur out on ur ass.

8 months and some pocket money isn't too hard.

is he not on like 80 grand a week? i can imagine much worse things than getting paid as much as he does for sitting on your arse for 8 months

He's supposed to be a profesional and he's done something very unprofessional and wrong for him and his club.
An ordinary guy in an ordinary firm could get fired for such a professional error. Next time he'll think twice.

Ha ha well thats the bright side of it. :P

He def shouldnt be allowed to just do nothing for 8 months, he should be made to join a kids coaching school or something similar, at least he'd be giving something back then. ITs still not a bad job for 80k a week.

He commited the crime and is now doing the time, 8months is nothing, shouldve been longer, next time he'll think twice before missing a test.
