I've heard that it's ok, but haven't seen it yet. Another good film based around music is Almost Famous, co-starring the lovely Kate Hudson.

Almost famous was great!!

Rock Star was okay. It was nice to re-live the 80's!

The Rockstar movie itself is okay, but the soundtrack rules! The Steel Dragon tunes are good 80's rock music.
