Africa was destroyed due to slaverny. That's where they got behind and never got back on track again because no-one ever felt responsible, and the countries to blame (UK, France, Spain, Holland, US, etc) never ever did something to make it right, not even a apology.
The state where North-Africa is in is the fault of other countries.... it is not that they are controlled by the G8, its that they don't ****in' care. It's horrible what's all happened their, for the last few hunderds years....
And it's even more horrible that it just isn't needed.

and we are to blame....

(and its a another freakin proof that god doesn't exist, and even if he would, he couldn't care less/do anything, so worthless)

Slavery in Africa, as horrible as it is, was a two way business, and some Africans themselves made a lot of money out of it. Salvery existed in Africa (especially in North Africa) even before Europeans came along, and still exists now that we're "gone".
It was a market and Europeans made it worse by turning it into an industry.

But Europeans hurt Africa a lot more by ignoring cultural and ethnical differences in the African people, deciding on absurd borders for countries that didn't make sense, resulting in never ending wars no one cares for and genocides. Also by bringing in massive corruption and manipulation habits, imposing faith and administration on people that were fine without it.

Potentially, Africa is anything but poor. The best thing we should do that could allow us forgiveness is to help them use their huge potential rather then keep on undermining their development until they are ready to be the next "market" to exploit after China, India and South America.

I wasn't on about the debt and from what you're saying I don't think you really know why it's important and usefull for African countries to have it erased. But I agree that it is a necessity.

What Africa first need is jobs, lots of them. So they need investments. On the positive side, this will be a future continent for lower-wages countries, hoping companies will invest (countries have proven that will not), that means jobs....
