No, I'm dead and posting from beyond the grave....what the hell do you think? lol

I just think he couldn't sing; no better than a karaoke singer....and I heard that he didn't even write his own songs, so no better than todays singers...only now they can spruce up vocals on computers.

what people fail to realise is that all popular music incorporates more than just the songs itself from chuck berry to oasis.

its a full package of music and image whether it's the beatles dressing like sg peppers, the gallaghers fighting or some fly assed pimo mofo cruisin in a dope o rida with sum honeyz shakin they asses in his face.

no different to the stones just dressing down and rocking out as opposed to the monkeys getting tarted up and coldplay as opposed to the spice girls. not much has changed over the years.

i guess your right but elvis and the beatles could sing, nowdays 'artists' cant lol
If you guys mean by look, then it is ok to be artist to be good looking and all. But today videos is all about showing flush of women(either a artist or some models). Now it is totally dominated by sexy videos, if u ask any guys about any today's artist, they say she has such sexy......

You can't make it come down to such a simple statement. I mean both rock and pop are very wide music genres.

It's just Record Companies that act as any other firms in order to make benefits to please share olders. They have to sell and are ready to do whatever they can to sell. As long as people buy it they'll do it.

Sometimes the performer (i.e. boy bands, britney, etc...) is a part of the product and not the creative artist behind the product, and that's where you'll find a lot of things that have nothing to do with music or talent, but are there to catch the eye, the ear, and eventually the wallet.
