I asked because the Boston Strangler was stabbed in his cell as well, but I didn't remember his name.

Does anyone else find seriel killers... (i hate to say this) interesting? For example, Jack the Ripper. I find the things he did horrible, but if I see a book about him, I can't help but flip through it a little and read a little from it. Even if its on TV, if its a special about a seriel killer, I end up watching it. I think I'm messed up.

yeah serial killers is a really interesting subject for me at least but i think they fascinate alot of people.

saying that.

peter manuel murdered a family 2 minutes down the road from me on the street i work. think he killed about 15 people in total.

there was another dude that murdered a couple of people round here back just when i was born. think he killed a couple of women taxi drivers or something

and then the most famous glaswegian one was Bible John. used to pick up girls in the famous Barrowland Ballroom. for any of u wondering yeah it is the gig venue now. anyways back in the 60s it was a dancing and he'd pick people up and quote the Bible to them then murder them. was reading a book about him and Manuel a while ago.

Bible Johns the most famous cos he was never found out. there was a guy that published a book las year claiming he knew who he was and that he was still living over in the west end of glasgow and was goin to confront the guy then he disappeared. would have been freaky had it not been for the fact he owned some gangsters alot of money and they've basically done him in and few him to the fishes

was pretty wierd reading about places people had been murdered that i know or have been

Nope, you're not the only one. I think it's quite morbid, but I'm still fascinated by the stories too. There is a movie coming out soon with Charlize Theron where she'll be playing a serial killer. Her name was Eileen Vournos and she was from the Tampa area. I even know someone who knew her.

And like Jim said, it's weird when you know of or have been to the places where these murders occured. Like when I went to Florida State and knew that Ted Bundy had murdered girls there in one of the Sorority houses. Kinda creepy.....
