This is ludicrous. He killed an innocent for no reason. Your justice system made a mockery of itself and only held him for 12 years.
Don't agree with the Communists on much, but I think their "dig your own grave" style of execution bears some discussion here.

adrian you sound like the old tories who sit down my local pub during the day sorting out the world's ill's over pints of bitter.
the sentencing aside since our judicial system obviously deem him to have served his sentence and no longer be a danger to the public or he wouldn't be getting out...
why would we / how could we send him back to italy? he's a british national, spent more time in the UK than italy, committed the crime in the UK, served his sentence in the UK etc..
this isn't someone from the middle east who's come over to plan an attack, been jailed here and then sent packign once they're out. this is a british citizen who committed a crime in the UK.
