I wouldn't moan about it too much.

I get a lift to uni everyday and it takes an hour going the quickest route possible. He's away for a job interview today so i havd to get the bus and train meanign it took me about 2 hours to get here. Not nice when your 1st class is at 9.

Even with a loan and a job, you'll be spending so much on rent, food and bills that you won't have the money to go out n get pissed as much as you could if you're livin in the house without payign dig money.

Anyways. Stay at home, get a student loan and a job. the rate you pay back the loan at is so low it's worth your while getting one just for the sake of it. seriously.

How can you not get pissed whenever you want? Your house is just another roof to sleep under. Go out, get pissed and use your lovely student loan to pay for taxi's home.

See I've got this student life thing nailed down big style.

It sounds like you should not move out, your not ready for it. You worry too much about other things.

Its a dilemma I currently have too. Do I move out on my own and have my independance or stay at home and still have plenty of money for all the luxuries. Id say stay at home if you're happy with your homelife and stick it out as long as possible, im trying to save up at the moment. Like Jim says, whats the point in moving out if you have no meny to go out and do anything???

I would stay home too. I moved out pretty early in life and regret it now. Think of all the money you can save. Believe me, five years from now, which seems like a long time but will be here faster than you know it, you will be thankful. Moving out is VERY expensive, and you will never be able to save again like you can now.

I think xactly the same. Ur not redy 4 a while. And mayB U cud leern sum English while UR @ home.

I moved out when I was 19, and I haven't regretted it. However, I took care of everything form then on, I worked for my money, I never got any help from my parents. Not that they didn't want to, but because they couldn't. I don't regret moving out, it was the best thing I did, but you need to be able to carry the responsibilities that come with it. It's no joyride.

If you don`t feel like, I have to be on my own, it`s not the time yet. You still see too many problems in moving out.
You`re quite young too, to live on your own. Wait a while till you are rwady to leave.

any chance you could take your mum with you, ie both of you move nearer to the uni, that would solve all problems.

I forgot to mention.

A guy i went to college with who had his own class was a massive deterrent to me moving out until I was financially secure.

I swear that you couldn't wipe the smile off of his face when loan installment time came round and you know why? as he used to put it " I'm eatign warm dinners for the next 3 weeks" and that was pretty much it. 3 weeks of proper food then a coupla months of crap till the next loan rolled around.

I'm not joking. he used to get excited about going to asda when his loan had cleared in the bank
