An absolute bestiality! How can ppl be so cruel? I just hate them. How can you do something like that to a kitten or to a pup?

Did y'all hear about the lady in Texas, who only got 30 days for starving her horses? She didn't feed them for like 4 months, they were sick and covered with sores. One could barely stand because he was in so much pain. He had to be put down. The Judge did order that she only get bread and water for the first 3 days.

and here in Columbus, some freak cut a puppys ears off with pinking shears or something and beat it so bad that it became blind.

the puppy was found wandering the park by the local police and they rusehd her the shelter. She lived and is now the mascot of the shelter. The person was never found. (no surprise).

But that's okay..they'll get whats coming to them....

These kind of things happen all the time. Its sad and breaks your heart but it happens. Some people just dont understand that a animal has feelings too and that it feels pain just as people do. Some people think they can handle things but get carried away and panic leaving the evidence behind. I work at an Animal Shelter so these kind of things arent uncommon and we get at least one cruelty call a day. And there are many kinds of cruelty cases, its just unfortunate that many people focus on a few outlandish ones instead of them all as a whole.

Here, we are just happy to get the animal and start to care for it. Of course, we take the people responsible to court (if at all possible). However, the main thing is getting the animal and start treatment. I know that if we take someone to court we urdge for community service, jail time and a court order stating that they arent allowed to have pets for a set time. Sometimes, we have to compromise for the wellfare of the animals - and we dont always have a valid case so we do have to return some animals to their owners. We had to do that when we rescued twenty Yorkies from a trailer, we had to return two of them - and they did sign an agreement that if they did not provide proper conditions for the dogs, we were allowed to take them back - I think they have six months to fullfill the obligations.

=/ I'm getting into one of my tangents again!

****ing pricks.... I would beat some tail if I saw that happen... I love cats and have two of my own. One in which sleeps on my bed every evening. People in the world today are scum.

kind of when every once in a while a case makes it into the news about an abandoned litter of puppies dumped by the roadside. Immediately, there will be many many callers wanting to adopt one of those pups. I always wonder where those people are - if they sooo want to help, our shelters are full of pups, adults, and seniors that need homes.....

yep, my own little petpeeve....
