Width: no more than 550pix.

Height: no more than 200pix.

The problem isn't the width, but the height. A 350 pix image takes up almost HALF of the screen on a 800x600 resolution (the web browser maximized leaves about 700x580 free).

I don't want to scroll around looking for posts between all the signatures.

I uploaded my latest one last night and it said the maximum was 400 wide by 250 high, so I had to resize mine before I could use it...but 450 or 500 wide would be much better, but apparently that doesn't fit with the design of the board.

I think the board could handle it, but 800x600 screens couldn't.
