"I'll never sign for Man U"

"If Leeds go down i'll help them get back up"

"If We'd have stayed up i'd have stayed" (Yeah Ok then Alan)

I hope he enjoys sitting on the subs bench with Phil Neville and Nicky Butt week in week out.

I cant imagine him wearing that scummy vodafone shirt

Oh and this title needs edited to "lying two faced ****"

It's good to see a Leeds fan seeing sense about Smith. Why did all the fans love him even though he all but said he was leaving.

By the way, welcome to Division 1. It's hell.

alan smith is a petulent little sod. silly me actually thinking our £7million bid would be enough to lure him.

Richie, id rather have Rooney and Raderz as my starting forwards anyway. I never wanted Alan Smith.

I'm sorry but I just don't understand why anybody would bad mouth Smith....

He's played at a pretty high level when Leeds were doing well, and held his own in the premiership. He's a football player, and most football players want to play at the very top! I'm sure Smith would have stayed if Leeds stayed up, because he'd have got first team football at a club he loves. However I'd never expect him to play in the first div, and I think it's unreasonable of fans to have expected that of him. The club went down because when push came to shove there just wasn't enough fight in the players, but Smith was the one player who fought for everything. If Leeds stayed up it would have been down to one player.

I'm not paticularly happy about him coming to United. I think he's been quite a dirty player, and I don't seem him being anything other than another Forlan. However I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with him, there seem to be some big names backing his move (Dennis Law for one!!!!)

Well said and also most of the player carrier will short period and they want to make money and play as much as possible in higher level. It is real unfair of fan to call someone to stay. I'm sure if that fan would have been a player, he defnetly do what Alan did.
And if u stay up and he lose his form, will the club keep him first 11?. And i'm sure they even seel him to other club.

Thats just it though, all Leeds fans had accepted he was going and they gave him a great send off at Elland Road. I'd have wished him well going to any club except Man Utd, and I know some people will say that sounds petty. Alan Smith claimed to be the biggest Leeds fan, kissed his badge, cried when we went down etc, but no TRUE Leeds fan would wear a Man U shirt, its as simple as that.

I agree I don't think he'll bring anything to them, he's not in the same league as VN, Scholes and Saha. If He had any real amition he'd have gone to an upcoming club, Boro, Liverpool or even Everton. Man U have already won everything anyway.
