I'm not a fan of either, but I think drinking is worse. While second hand smoke is annoying and unhealthy, a drunk is more likely to be directly responsible for seriously and immediately hurting another person be it in drunken rage or by causing an accident.

As much as I hate being around someone who's smoking, I hate to be around a person who is drinking even more.
