So I hypothetically knock up a girl...

So let's say I've knocked up a girl during a one night stand. And let's say she wants to keep the baby. I don't want it but she goes on about how it's her body yada yada and more of that nonsense (she didn't complain about how it was her body while she was submissive etc.) I hypothetically tell her that if she wants to keep the baby I want her to sign a document that says that I will have nothing to do with the kid, no obligations and that it's all her responsibility. Because really, she had a choice to keep it or to let it go and decides to keep it and I was even willing to pay for half of the abortion. Now she's upset and says I can't ask her that. What do you folks think?

Well you're a sucker by not using condoms.

This is exactly why I wear a condom at all times.

I would say that it would depend if you used a condom or not. If you hadn't, a court would probably find that you weren't careful enough and, as such, you should have to face the responsibilities.

If you had, then I don't see why you should have to do anything - sadly, you probably would because that's how courts seem to take favour, but it's wrong.

A woman could choose not to keep a baby, yet if the man wanted to keep it, he'd not have a say (legally) in the matter. But spin it around - which basically becomes your question - and somehow you're seen to be in the wrong.

Once you have unsafe sex you accept all that might come from it. She doesn't have to sign anything as you were there yourself as well when you made the decision so in the end you can't ask, order or force her to do anything.
So if she wants to keep the baby and you don't, you should have thought of that earlier.

I'm not going to offer advice on the matter as it's a personal choice but I would say the responsibility to wear a condom is as much the woman's responsibility as it is the man's. Of course you will not find a court in the land who will EVER support the man in such a situation.

Sure if you used a condom and still got her pregnant, the way you folks are talking he should sue the condom company for not working right lol

Nobody was saying that. I was saying that if this hypothetical bloke refused to pay maintenance on the grounds that both parties mutually accepted unprotected sex, the man would never win and other posts referring to court rulings are along similar lines.

Ahem, the hypothetical girl said she was on the pill so there was no need for a condom there. She lied to me and now she's making me the hypothetical guy who has to pay, hence me saying I don't mind her getting my babies (turns on she's getting hypothetical twins or so she says) but only if she signs a contract in which I don't have to pay for all that bullshit. All these women say they're so independant and should be able to make their own choices in life because it's their body, but meanwhile they feel it's their right to ruin my life. That's what you get for giving women a choice.
