somewhere nice in europe for january?

i dunno they just said it was really dirty and they didn't like it at all.

i had the chance to go but didn't bother when they did.


anyways considering going to riga is going to cost me less than the average night in the pub i think we have a winner.


ive found an excellent hostel and some of the activities they offer are shooting ak47s in an old soviet bunker and riding on a bobsleigh with the latvian team

The first time I went to Barcelona many years ago I was coming back from Switzerland and after that the place really did look dirty. Perhaps coming from a Bristish city feels like that too. But it's certainly one of the cleanest cities in Spain. Certainly way cleaner than Madrid.

they just didn't find the people very friendly and were kind of amazed at how much begging and thieving went on considering it's a westernised city.

HA i just got a cheque in for travel expenses (ie bus tickets) for the 4 days i was in court the other weeks and it's exactly what the flights to riga will cost me

its freezing in Europe, if I had the time I would be going to Florida......or Vegas.

meh the crap weather kind of adds to the charm of that region. prague seemed weird in september because it was sunny.


i don't fancy florida at all and i wouldn't go to vegas without a girlfriend to kept my money in my wallet.

And have they been to London?! It's better now but the first time I visited there were more homeless people than in Barcelona or Madrid these days. And again Madrid wins at homeless people begging on the streets, sadly. Barcelona is way more European than Madrid - Madrid is nothing but an overgrown village.
