Ahh, the joys of living in the South. It's an experience like no other. And I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Well, maybe Australia...or somewhere in the Caribbean. But if I have to live in the States, there's no place like the South.

Don't start on the food. God, I don't believe "those yankees" know how to eat.
Collard greens, Green Bean casserole, Candied Yams, cheese grits....
Homemade biscuits w/tomato gravy, homemade banna pudding, pecan pie, the list is endless. And to drink, a glass of sweet tea with lots of ice.

Hey have you all ever heard of a Scramble Dog?? It's basically a hot dog that has been cut up in pieces..smothered with chilli, cheese, onions, oyster crackers, pickles and whatever else you might want.
So far, I haven't talked to anybody outside of my hometown that has even heard of them.
God those things are so good.
It's too bad that my new years resolution is to cut out all the beef and pork from my diet. Well it's good that I did it, but I'm really going to miss my scramble dogs. I guess I can have one, minus the dog. That somehow doesn't seem the same.

OK, now I didn't say that! I grew up in the North, and I love the food from there! New Jersey, New York, Philly...the best food! I love to live in the South, not eat here. LOL!

I've not been impressed with any of the food I've eaten outside the South--very bland. And you can't get a glass of real iced tea at all.
