it's still a really horrible thing and you shouldn't be cynical about it

Yes I should. I don't see why I should fall for the 'it is on CNN so it must be bad and we must be sad' bullshit.

look, regardless whether or not the train accident in sydney was on cnn or not (which i presume it was and most people here will have heard about it and think it's just as awful), it is always tragic when lives are lost. be it 7 or 70. so don't give me that shit about you having to be cynical

Hello? krb? Are you sure that your brain works? Sure there are a lot of other things we should be sad about but these 7 people died I don't know if you get this but it doesn't matter if it's on CNN. People have to know it from anywhere. That's the only need of CNN and Co.

He does have a point.....you guys are actually backing it up, by saying that this is more important than the other two disasters. I think its all really bad, but there really aint anything we can do, just gotta stay positive

Keep On Rockin'

Really, you mean they actually lost their lives? You mean that they are now dead? Wow, oh hang on a minute, So did the people in Australia, so did the people in East Timor. I don't see anybody on here comment about them. People on here just comment on things that are well publicised, and pretend to feel sad for them.

Wake up, disasters happen everyday. Some get more attention than others. Because this is the US, who God has blessed, it must be worse than all of these and we must all feel sad. People are easily manipulated by the media.

Do you think that after Bush had finished his 'emotional' (which means just speaking slower than usual) speech, he went back to his White House and cried? No, he went back and stopped pretending he cared, and started to think about how he can cause deaths in the Middle East.
