Default Spectacular Art Robbery ends with Incredibly...

Acutally this story is incredible - and it's the biggest thing in the austrian media recently; listen up:

in 2003 the most spectacular robbery of a piece of art, namely Cellini's saltcellar of wax and gold (????) was thieved in some night. the burglar entered the KHM (Kunsthistorische Museum- Museum of Ancient Arts/ Vienna) through the window in the 3rd etage which he reached with the help of a scaffold which was on the outer museum wall for restauration work. he simply got climbed the scaffold, broke the window, entered the room, broke the vitrine in which the piece lay, took it and went away.
this caused a MASSIVE scandale in austrian media- the piece is worth about 10million € and is the last piece of this special guy. For three years the investigators had no clue to the burglar. last week some pictures were published in some papers and on tv showing a guy buying a mobile phone- they said this guy is under suspicion to have contact to the burglars- 24h later the guy went to the police and told them were the Saliera was.

Here's his story :g:
He works as guy who installs alarm systems for some company. he went with some friends to the "long night of museum" which is held once a year and ppl can go to the museums till 2 a.m.- so he went to the KHM and saw that none of the windows in the room had an alarmsystem- later that night he got drunk- passed the KHM and was tempted: so he got up the scaffold, broke the window and realized that he couldn't get through the curtain- so he went down to his car again to get a knife- went up- sliced the curtain- entered the room and stole the thing which he didn't knew what it was. he must've been quite shocked when he saw on tv WHAT he had taken- he didn't know what to do so he put it in a bag and put it under his bed where it stood for nearly one and a half years until he finally dug it in some wood in lower austria. then he started playing hide and seek with the police but when he saw his picture on tv he finally went to the police and confessed.

conclusion:
a) this guy won't get a very high fine because he has all kinds of mildering circumstances and moreover, the Saliera was returned safely

b) the biggest and most expensive art things are available for anyone and everywhere (not only in austria, but also in copenhagen, etc...)

c) this guy will make a fortune of selling his story to some major film companies- all in all he wins
