Yes

Despite the missing capitalisation your posts are at least legible, you use proper punctuation and spelling, which many do not through sheer laziness.

Then why bother to engage in conversation with people at all? If you never care what people say then talking to them is somewhat pointless.

Would be really sad to change the way we write in one particular thread, we all know each other on here (or most of) and know how this one or this one usualy write or spell. I'd take my spelling as example. You all know my english is just basic and that i make a lot of mistakes ..... but i always try to do my best.

Well, like Kathleen said, many of us just ignore your posts because no one can read them. And if you don't care about what any of us think, you might as well leave. If you stay, learn to spell. For the reasons stated above by many.

Im actually with you on this one Gaz, much to my surprise. You should actually be free to speak what ever way you want to (to the point it is still understandable obviously) we will continue to take the piss and the like of course, but please do carry on.

However, personally i'd much rather read a pefectly punctuated sentence, especially if its a published piece of work, or somebody on here writing a review or having a proper debate and such, but thats just a preferance.
I'v written 100s of essay all through school and uni, and i studied Alevel english and classical literature, and would regularly spot bad grammar etc but i dont feel the need to constantly keep up to this standard in everyday talk.
If people can still understand then it shouldnt be a problem, definately not a bannable offence - yes we may get irritated and take the piss out of someone who still talks in txt talk, coz it is funny but i wont loose much sleep over it.

oooh, there some text talk in that last sentance! Grammar Police! *Alert*

Yeah, that's the courtesy that everyone should have.

It's impolite to not see the "trouble" of writing as well as one can. If you don't bother with that, why should anyone bother with what you have to say?

i agree my english both written and spoken is perfect but because i choose to spell differently on this site because 1. i choose to post here and no one can try to change it (although many have tried with stupid awards etc) and 2 because generally i know i get a buzz off readin ices posts because i know this irritates him

i am really not bothered about what you say about me however i do in someway respect all of you and your opinions

ive been around here for long enough now you all know how i operate lol

I'm with Andi on this. I prefer proper spelling, but I can't be annoyed if a text has some mistakes in it, whether they are made intentionally or not.
However, I do get annoyed whenever you may expect a proper use of a certain language, like in official documents or in (pet peeve of mine) subtitles.
