What I read was from TheForce.net, which is the BIGGEST star wars website on the Internet, with more information than the official site.
It's "information", since it's all rumors untill confirmed by the official site. BSWJBJ is the biggest and even official message board and how much of that stuff can you believe? Does biggest make anything more believeable? There's a reason some sites are official and others are not.

What George said about the fire and stuff was written as a quote, he did actually say it, and it may have even been on the official site too.
Show me the quote from the OFFICIAL site and then we'll talk.

Oh, and I don't know how much you know about computers, but even ILM aren't yet capable of creating photo-realistic fire. Even the Balrog from Lord Of The Rings was done using a lot of texture mapping, which required a lot of filming to acquire before CG work could be done.
I've just worked with computers for all my life. Yes, it requires texture mapping, but it doesn't mean it can't be done. Actually, every bit of CGI - graphics require some sort of texture mapping, you can't create an object without a texture. And realistic particle effects have been in games and movies for years, and fire can also be created with that effect. Depending on how you want it to look there are several techniques you can use.

Maybe you should look into 3D graphics and the creation of 3D effects more than just read about it. It's a lot of work, but you'll learn a lot.

no DVD are planned for the oriinal trilogy before 2007. Lucas ain't working on it, he has no time for it. he said it won't contain the original movies but the remastered versions, which are as close as he wanted to do back in 76.
a lot of speculation is made around a boxset including the three movies, maybe the whole story with six dvd.
no dvd either planned for indiana jones. they've been shceduled, but delayed for different reasons. waiting for the new one?

Lucas claims he doesn't have enough bonus material for the OT, but there is plenty available. There where Laserdisc versions released during the late 80's with tons of bonus footage on them. Also, he has definitely confirmed what you said about the original editions; they WILL NOT be released, as the 97 rereleases where what he orignally wanted the movies to be.

I think the DVD's will be availabe in 3 formats; 6 seperate 2 disc movies, 2 seperate trilogy boxsets comprising 6 discs and a full 12 disc boxset containing ALL of the movies.

As of Indy Jones, I don't know, and don't really care, lol. I've read about them, but don't like them too much.

It's been a long while since I've seen them, and when I tried reading one of them recently I got very bored with it.
