Yes it must be nice to grow up in country where kindergarten must have metal detectors, armed guard, strip searches and whatever. Nice role model for them kids ain't it. Kinda send out a message that anyone in any community can be potential threat to other people's lives. In so-called civilized world kids still are kids, with no guns.

What is so important about everyone having a gun? Only thing about it I can think of is that with that many guns, some of them must be in hands of metally unstable individuals with no control whatsoever. Yes, bad guys can get guns everywhere I'm sure, but (at least over here) they're not encouraged to, or, people aren't able just go and buy one. or two. or 150.

If you take all the shootings etc from, let's say past few years, I am certain that there's more of those incidents in USA than there are in the rest of the world together. So yes, it is a good thing that everyone can have a gun.

Now that you brought it up. Perhaps. Who knows, u wake up tomorrow with screw loose in your head and go shooting around. Everyone with a gun is potential threat to rest of the community. Even knowing u disagree, but you just can't know if you're gonna snap tomorrow. Gun or no gun is a big difference if such thing happens.

Because you may resort to it when you don't need to. Becasue someone who's not meant to reach it might reach it anc do crazy things. Because it might backfire.

... Because someone could get hurt.

I know you defend guns but they're not toys and should be handled extremely carefully and only by a very few people who are very controlled and need them for specific reasons.

I really don't get why you should need to defend your property and family and all that with a gun. If something is going to happen to you or them - it will any way or a gun will make things worse. On the other hand no one in my family has one and in fact I don't know any one who has one - they're quite controlled in Spain, and certainly not a right written in a troubled time and not necessary any more - and nothing has ever happened to us and no one has ever regretted not having one in a given situation.

It's also very nice as a parent to get a call from the school because a second grader was 'caught' playing cyborg with a paper cup over their fist - apparently pretend shooting --- a BIG offense in the schools eyes (brought on through the aftermath of columbine). The kid ending up being threatened to get dispelled for it.

Then go back and tell the teacher that you routinely play 'knifing', 'shooting', 'granade throwing' with your child as part of your evening games and that you don't know what the big deal was lol.

So basically in a country where everyone is allowed to have a gun doesn't allow kids to play with imaginary ones? geez, talk about hypocricy. I seriosly wonder which ones are more dangerous, real or imaginary ones? Plus I have never heard about anyone gotten killed by papercup.

Over here boys "shoot" each other like every day. At home, and also in school. At times they have "war" in school, and yes, it is allowed. I do wonder, what good does it do to ban all gun-related games? Kids only learn that guns are something exciting, and when growing up they're allowed to get them. So yeah perhaps its better to play with real ones after all..........

yes.

Same country in which you'll find a strip club on just about every street corner, but the showing of a topless women on a scientific journal would be impossible to get away with. Or the showing of a nipple for a split second on TV.

Same country in which young people are not considered responsible enough to handle a glass of wine or a beer with their evening dinner, yet are responsible enough to go to war and kill people in the name of freedom and liberty.
