Default Stupid White Men

I'm reading Michael Moore's book "Stupid White Men" at the moment. Quite an interesting read... Anyone else read it? What are your views? What do you think of Michael Moore?

I haven't read the book yet, but I have seen Bowling for Columbine That was a real eye opener. I think he tends to go overboard sometimes, but he does get results so he can't be all that bad.

Yep, I read it two month ago, very interesting, furious and funny as it says on the cover.
Michael Moore is a very clever guy, I recommend his movies : Roger&Me, The Big One, and Bowling For Columbine. All are eye openers, BFC is just genious, even if one could say it's "reversed" propaganda.

It is quite readable (if there is such a word lol). Though, once you get towards the middle/end he goes off the deep-end and loses some credibility - though I choose to look at it as humor

What I like most about Michael Moore is that he actually gets off his butt and tries to change things. He ran for a position on the school board (getting all the stoner-votes lol) - who of all the complainers has done something like this?

I volunteer at various boards and am quite fed up with people complaining and criticising the board, when in fact, they and their stay-home wifes would never dream of donating their time for the good of the community

Anybody seen the 60 minutes segment on Moore? Quite good.

When I saw this topic heading, I just bounced up and said. "I didn't know Tash was racist?"

i think he loses alot of credibility for the main fact that his "documentaries" and books are pretty much his opinion and is very biased towards that when it's a basic principle and knowledge that even when stating your own opinion in somethign like that you should give alternative advantages as well.

That's how I felt for his first two films, but on BFC, ie, he does give a chance to other opinions and proves they just don't stand. And if you closer, when he confronts people who support or are stuck in the systems that he fights, he doesn't have to dig to far to make them run out of credible arguments.
