how exactly can a day, gem, colour or name be lucky?

here's a thought.

my lucky colour is apparently midnight blue. so what if i put a shirt on tonight thats midnight blue and I pull a hottie or win a bet or something. Is that lucky? would it be just as lucky if I wore a red shirt? what if I had a bad night with my blue shirt?

it's all just about the power of suggestion.
