Well said by the way some people are talking youd think this was a french board or something.
16 dead in helicopter crash!! Thats 16 more than if they stayed at home!!

Joviscout - the majority of the world is against this - not just France!!
16 dead (i thought it was 12) or 8

but even so... what do you expect...

this is war - not a sports match

what's the point in protesting to get the troops back home?

that's just fanciful wishmaking...

it's a war - it's their jobs... in total there won't be that many fatalaties due to the nature of war...

what good would it do to bring them back home?

will it ever happen? no

why not? we all know

I can't understand it either, but you can't say who's right or wrong.

can u really believe that millions all around the world are wrong? can that happen? i dont think so.
Yes. Millions of German thought Hitler was a good guy. Millions of Americans voted for Bush. Millions bought Kid Rocks CD.

i know what you are saying but that's a bit of a generalisation...

you'd be surprised how many disliked him and his party but were pressured by other factors into accepting it

Mike I dont want to start an argument here but those people who are in Iraq right now from Britain are there because they signed on it. It's their job and if they decide to join the armed forces, well it's their own fault. It might sound harsh but why join the army if you don't want to go to war? These people are bloody fanatics from my point of view. Nobody forced them to join the army.

Wow...but if Germany ever gets attacked, you better hope those "bloody fanatics" are there to protect you.

No offense, but just because you sign up to join the armed forces, doesn't mean you are a war monger. It just means that you are willing to protect your country if it comes down to it.

I also have to share, that as I was watching the news this morning, I saw a reporter driving through Iraq on a military vehicle. Do you know that the people in the desert where waving and cheering the military on? They were showing them as the military were driving through. Seems that there are people in Iraq too, that are supporting this.

Mongoose proved your first piont wrong, and as for the second its france's fault and only theres that the un is now in shambles. This could cause more problems than the war even can if the un crumbles.

Ok - proved wrong?? -

I am confused here.....

Yes it is their job... to defend this Country... I can easily argue they aren't doing that...

& why can't I wish for them to be brought home instead of fighting a pointless War??? I hate to see them dying for what isn't a worthy cause....

Sure it is their job & all that... But it isn't necessary - they don't need to be sent to face death...

& how do u know they'd prefer to be there?? If I signed up it would be because I wanted to defend King & Country - not secure Oil or something for some over indulged greedy nation. U seem to give the impression that they signed up because they enjoy War - not because they want to defend the country.

I hope they come through this invasion unscathed - but would prefer it if they didn't have to face this at all.

Btw - the 12 - were the British members of the Crash that was killed... In total (16) over twice more than the shuttle disaster.

I didnt say theyd prerfer to be there. The war must be fought through. We cant hide in our little democrace and pretend we cand see what saddam is doing to his own people that makes us worse not better than then, to turn a blind eye to what he does when we can so easily help is ****ing shocking and im glad we are finally doing something about it. (these are blairs pionts not bush's. Bush is paranoid and rightly so.)
