my original point was aimed at the way that person had subconsciously stated that America is the only one that helps / the most important which is blatently not true

hmm you seem to be implying that this is a dry county issue, I can assure you - go to any board etc that is not dominated by Americans and the same thing will surface..obviously not on a safe haven like backstage, Im quite suprised this is the first time you've come across anti-Americanism - hell this board is always tame for this. You should see what people that hate you think, indeed the majority of the so called anti-americans do not despise America etc, but think the attitudes of the government and a large proportion of the population are laughable

anyway I think the problem here is that some people find it hard to accept friendly banter, I could say to Davesta who is welsh - oi you welsh bastard

or to Theirry who is Dutch - oi you clog wearing gimp

and they would not get offended, heck Im sure I could hurl plenty of stupid yank comments at mouse

plus, it seems everyone has walked right into the 'trap' that Mr Krb so nicely set up

How do you know this is the first time I've come across anti-Americanism? This is just the most recent stop, and not always so tame, Mongoose.

i totally agree

plus, i never get offended by gooses posts about crazy germans, i just think it's funny

one has to distinguish between insults and jokes which obviously some people can't
