Anywway, if Sven was to walk now, we would never find anyone intime, nobody decent anyway. All the current managers that we are *looking at* are already tied up in club management, so that wouldnt work. We would end up bringin someone in that wouldnt really fit the description of a England manager. Listen, Sven is excellent at his job. His record speaks for himself! The English national side needs some stability heading intowards the World Cup Finals!

I wouldnt say hes been excelelnt i mean what has he actually acheived???? :s Two important matches against Brazil and Portugal we needed him to change the game and tactiacally he wasnt up to it. Defeats against minnows like N Ireland and Australlia plus the fact he'd pick Beckham no matter how S*** he plays. I wish now wed have gone for a new manager after Euro 04 but weve got him now so we have to stick with him for Germany.

Well, I aint gonna debate the Beckham situation with ya, coz you know im a big fan of his. Just because we lost two matches that we should have won, it doesnt mean that Sven hasnt done a great job. Defeats to Australia and Northern Ireland, was when the team as a whole were playing badly. Sven still picked his strongest line-up for both of these games, so he did all he could from the dug-out. It was upto the players to produce good results, but it was they who failed and let us down.

End of the day, he has still led us to the finals, which was the main prioity in this campaigne. The two previous tournaments, he has led us to, we have done very well, and only got knocked out during the latter stages of each competition, by better sides.

This summer is gonna be a huge tester for him, but this time around, I genuinly believe, we have the squad to go all the way. Sven isn't going to be half-hearted about the World Cup. There is no doubt in my mind, that he will go all out and try to win England the prestigious title. Its like any job your in, you want to do as best as possible, so that it looks better on your CV. Sven is going to be exactly the same.

I'd even of been happy to see him continue as England manager, after the summer, but I guess, its all about the passage of time...

I reckon we were better than Portugal and had the team to beat Brazil. When hes in the dugout he just doesnt look interested in the game at all. Thats why we need an Englishman for the next job, someone who really knows what it means to the whole country to do well.

Yep, I definately agree with all your points there actually. I would like to see Big Sam get the job, because he is English and his managerial career has been superb. As far as passion is concerned, I'd like to see Stuart Pearce, but I think I'd like to see him do well for City (Or another club team) and take up the TOP job, later in his career. But there is no doubt, the desire is there!

No. I don't like that idea at all. Joint managers never seem to work out right as far as im concerned. I dont want Venables back to be honest. He has done his time, and we should look at somebody else. Id like to see Jewel for a few more seasons at club-level too, before 'Id allow' him to take charge of the national side.

Dont forget before Jewell was at Wigan he took Bradford up to the Premiership and kept them there against all odds. If he wins a trophy at Wigan this season I think he should be favourite for the post.

Did Bradford stay up? Why don't I recall that one? I think I'd take Big Sam, over Jewel at this stage...
