Don't forget that the same people who believe this also believe in a big, invisible floating man in the sky that made them all - so if they are willing to believe that, it isn't difficult to see how they would dis-regard other pieces of factual information that show how wrong they are.

belief in god is not an innate characteristic of holocaust deniers.

as for the question itself. they're obviously batshit crazy but to varying degrees.

only the looniest of the loony will deny it happened at all but alot of people will question the facts and figures behind it which is totally justified as far as the study of history is concerned.

some professional historians can selectively use facts to convincingly argue that the holocaust did not happen...

exactly i couldnt agree more, all facts and figures are there to be questioned and changed and im sure there are many sane people out who are convinced the holocaost didnt happen! i cant see how but its there.

it can also depend on who is telling the which side of the story, history is always from some1s point of view.

What?! Is denying the Holocaust necessary to believe in God?

Did none of you read the post? I was referring directly to the fact that it is apparently muslims who have this holocaust denial thing.

im afraid it is not made clear in this post that you are talking about any particular people other than those who believe in God. so if you were misunderstood maybe you should re-read what you type before hitting the post.

Well I suppose it is illogical to presume that a person posting in a thread could actually be talking about the main post of the thread

Neil's post was quite clear. That some don't get it, isn't necessarily his fault

...My daughter is studying the "peasants revolt" in history (1481 England). They look at it from King Richard 2nd's and Wat Tyler's (leader of the peasants) perspectives. From their vantage points they both seem morally/ethically right.

But as time passes the true facts come out and people decide for themselves if things were right or wrong... As long as they're happy they have enough facts to make an informed decision and if they feel that they need to make judgement in the first place.

To take something out of a history lesson for fear of offending is complete and utter stupidity.
