You know, I've never been to a wedding where it wasn't vowed for SICKNESS and health. If he wasn't willing to abide by the vow he (probably) made to the woman, he could have divorced her before "moving on with his life" and let the people take care of her who wanted to do so. He wasn't a husband to her when he was sleeping with and having children with another woman.

I take it from that statement you've never been around someone with advanced alzheimer's disease.

no I haven't.

But I know that there is a medical difference. The term 'vegetative state' has a certain meaning which is not identical with advanced alzheimers.

for one, he tried the rehabilitation route for quite a while. Something everybody would do. Two, his parents made a big fuss about it -- remember? This hasn't just started yesterday --- these court battles have been going on for years.

why not?. I think same way too, he should have moved out of her life and let her parent decide on her...

In case giving some leathel injection would have been 1000 times better then making her sterve to death....

because it doesn't mean he doesn't love and respect her only because he now lives with someone else. Should a widow never be allowed to find new love again? and if she does, does that mean she never loved her deceased husband?

moving out of her live and handing her over to her parents would be very much disrespectful, if you believe that she had mentioned that she does not want to be kept alive by a feeding tube.

I don't think you know what selfless love is.

I don't think we'd care much babe. But if you'd like to go in style, why not?

Well, I tried to respond, but the board lost it twice, so screw it. Let's just have to agree to respectfully disagree.
