That would be very American, since they armed the Taliban as well

Alright, so what some of you are saying is:

If they show people cheering on TV against Saddam, it is propaganda

If they interview people from Iraq, that say they were tortured by Saddam, it is propaganda.

If people say that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, it is propaganda.

If people say that Saddam aids terrorists...of course more propaganda.

If someone disagrees with your Anti-War stance, it is because of propaganda.

My question is, how the heck do you know that all of this is propaganda. Because you don't agree with war???

Give me ideas of what you think the right way to handle Saddam would be? Don't tell me go through the UN. I would like to hear specific ways in which this situation could have been resolved. Also, let me remind you that Saddam said he had no chemical weapons but alas threatened to use them on the military. He DID use scud missiles that "he didn't have." So how would you handle this entire situation?

What's to handle? He has never been a threat to the safety of the US, the UK or Australia (or France, Germany, Japan, Canada, Italy, Russia etc. for that matter).

Ahhh...so we should keep letting him stockpile weapons so he can become a threat BEFORE we do something about it??

You should not assume that if someone had weapons to use against you, then they necessarily would. You have to wait until they actually use them before you strike at them. If I go out tomorrow and suspect that someone might want to murder me in the future, but I kill him there and then, do you think the police will see my side of the story?

Oh, I see. Like 9/11. Oh yes, we waited and look where it got us.

So are you saying that the US knew that the attacks were going to take place in NY and Arlington, but they didn't want to take part in a pre-emptive strike, so they decided to wait for the attack?
