I find it interesting I am branded pro war because I dispute the fact its not a national view, what berates me is the anti war do-gooders that think their view is the only view, the right view

what ever happened to tolerance? In my opinion these anti war types are just a little bit totalitarion in their ways...you should meet Saddam, sure you would get on just fine
Well said Mongoose, my favorite mod.!

what is?

Ive never claimed to be tolerant, but the peace protestors make a big thing about how they have a right to be different / think different...however they also think anyone that doesnt think their way is wrong..

great ideals!

In fact Goose, your very answer above is hypocritical. U have a dig at
anti-war protestors calling them tolitaian & 'their view is right' yet
dismiss them as a bunch of hippies. U assume that the 65m who stayed at
home did so because they weren't against the war. Yet out of personal
experience, for every 1 person I know for it.. 3 r against however aren't
demonstarting / making a fuss as they want to 'support' the boys. I am not
citing propoganda... I have always supported Wars in the past when they have
been for the right reasons.. I have general reservations about this one, and
stats such as these fuel them. U dismiss the fact that before the War
started - there was overwhelming opposition for war in the UK without UN
approval. Now it is generally for the war.. but how much do u think this is
due to a lack of an early parlimentary debate & thus 'now the war has
started - we've got to support it as it won't make a difference' ?
U also dismiss the fact that support against the war outside of the US is
overwhelming.

In fact... far from debating these statistics.. your line of attack is
simply attacking the protestors 'Hippies, tolitarian...their way is right'..
Of course they think their way is right.. that is the whole point of debate
/ arguing.. U will also see no such concessions from a Pro War supporter
either.

The way I see it is that this country has been 'blackmailed' into supporting
it........ To not do so would unpatriotic... But surely then this blame
should lie with the government... To commit to a war where public support
was significantly against them would be bound to create such problems &
effect a soldiers Moral.
If the reasons for War r so clear.... How have they failed to convince a
significant majority??

I am interested in your views on the above.. & not merely dismissive
comments laying the blame at anti-war protestors.

Mike

no

check out the polls

facts are facts.

Plus there are plenty that are against the war, but realise they have no effect at all. I saw on the news some silly woman saying her campaign had put the war back by months, quite sad to think she actually believed that
