With a lot of prior planning and practise I'd guess, and probably taking a few thousand still shots. I've tried things like this myself years ago but never with much sucess, to be able to do some of those parts, like where they appear to be flying, it must have took a long time to take enough shots of them in the same position moving along, must have a lot of patience.
