Like Jim said we are all responsible and we all have to make that effort to recycle as much as we can . to use energy as efficiently as possible and just do our bit . If people carry on being ignorant then we're not going to have much of a world to live in soon. I for one find it very scarry .
I find it scary to ... I like it warm but it has been a bit to mild for this time around most of the world, its freaky.

It depends what your 'needs' are I s'pose which is what Bush's administration need to wake up to. People don't need to leave lights on in rooms they aren't occupying or need to leave appliances on standby or need to drive SUVs. The ignorant amongst us believe it is their right to do so as lazy-arsed, selfish individuals.

Agreed, it is not just the Americans that do the above but it is only really their government that supports this irresponsible behaviour and actively seeks to protect it.

Did you know that in order for the American way of life to be sustainable, we would actually need the resources of three earths? That is disgusting by any stretch of the imagination but we're all supposed to 'just accept it'? Two-fingers to you Mr Bush!!

I guess it all comes down to seeing it as it is - analagous to the smoking ban. You may scream that it is your right to kill yourselves but when your actions have knock-on effects on other peoples' lives who do not share your stupidity but are forced to share the consequences, something drastic needs to be done.
