Here are some links that is Jon related.

Start Rant:
Oooo, I never thought it was so bad to be a liberal...I guess I am going to be blacklisted next...oh wait, I'm not a celebrity.

I was reading some of the posts on last link...some people are pro-war but also pro-life. I don't get it? I can't understand why someone would be "pro-war"? I didn't want a war...I didn't want people to die...on both sides...there should've been a way around it. As the song goes..."war, what is it good for??" Anyhow, judging by the list that Jon is on, he is in good company.

Also, I can't understand why just because I don't blindly follow our leader...that makes me "Un American?" I sorry, but I still don't like Bush...he does not have the presence of a World Leader. I mean he called the leader of North Korea, an evil little dwarf, for crying out loud! *sigh*
and these people on the website...I just want to tell them, America is where it is at now because some people choose to question authority. Bosten Tea Party anyone? Women's right to vote? Free the slaves??
All these were things were accomplished because someone in the begining chose to question authority.

Okay..end rant

firstly, i don't agree with the mass dixie censorship across america, however, i do agree with the point Jovi2003 is trying to make. whether the sample is representative of the entire population or not is irrelevant....that's the whole point of a vote. you find me a radio station for which every single listener rings in and casts their opinion....it just doesn't happen. therfore you can only go on the opinions that you have and take that as an overall view of the population. if every single listener to every single radio station had voted, i bet the figures would be very similar percentage wise to the original vote

radio polls are not part of the democratic process so it does not matter anyway.

no - if you only have those few opinions you don't take such extreme measures...

even in America i bet you the figures would be greatlly different - they are not a 100% nation of aloof robots (though often many are) - most kids my age and yours wouldn't care one little bit

Exactly. How come freedom of speech is okay when the celebrities rant about how they want peace and what not? Then, when the public voices their opinion, it's censorship?? If people are FOR the Dixie's, then let them get their lazy selves to the phone and complain. Also, you guys seem to neglect the fact that Miss Natalie didn't even mention the war. Instead, she just insulted our president. Hence the backlash. Nobody is burning Bruce's cd's are they?? Other celebrities have voiced their anti-war opinions too, and nobody says a thing. What Natalie said was childish, hence the backlash they are receiving.

Also, lets understand something. The majority of celebrities all liberal. Easy to be a liberal when you are rich and living in your ivory tower.

so you set up a radio poll but decide to go against the majority decision, purely because you think that there are listeners who didn't vote that might have a different opinion? seems a pointless exercise....the radio stations involved can only go on the figures they have and if the figures they have say ban the dixie chicks they surely have to go with that don't they?

there may also be the fact that a lot of listeners think the dixies are bollox anyway and are purely voting so they don't have to listen to their music

maybe i should do a poll just amongst a very small sample population to say i'd like to kill a skinhead - if the majority say yes it doesn't mean i should do it

just as if i get phone calls (to my astonishment) telling me to go around college smashing peoples' computers i don't act on the majority verdict

i have some common sense and i'm no Nazi

Oh and one more thing about The Boss. My husband went on his messageboard and simply complained about all of the shows that were added to Giants. You know, so Bruce could make some money because everyone was continuously trying to buy tickets for the last show.

Anyway, no curse words, nothing inappropriate.

MESSAGE DELETED!!!

Right to express yourself, what a joke. Hypocrite

PS- I know Bruce isn't the one doing the moderating, but that board is still tied to him.
