If God controlled everything, surely having a condom on wouldn't make a bit of difference f the big man wanted to create?

So what they're saying is: have sex only to produce children or don't have sex. We all know how well that's gonna work. It's hypocrite and they know it. The only reason pope says things like this is because he's never had a healthy relationship with a woman. His mother died when he was 8 and his father told him all the women are like Virgin Mary. I think the pope should've gotten laid more often, now he's just taking it out on everyone who believes him. And he's getting people killed in the process.

I sort of agree with that - I've often wondered how come a man who's not married and not leading a "normal" life is lecturing the rest of the world on how to live their lives?

BUT it's not the Pope speaking. He's a spokesman of sorts, so all this doesn't come from him not having had his mother when he was a child, etc. It's the traditional view of the Church. And they don't look like the modernising their policy...

What I dont understand about the catholic religion is why do they pray to Mary, no where in the bible does it say you are to pray or worship Mary.

Because she's the mother of Jesus and she was a "miracle". I don't think it's wrong. It also incorportaes a woman to religion, which is nice It all stopped there, though.

Mother Theresa supposedly carried out some. Don't know what they were about though.

You have to have made some kind of miracle in order to be made a saint.

Mary is not a miracle and it does not say anywhere in the bible that she is was any type of a miracle. In fact not a lot is written about Mary at all, which is why Im so shocked that she is prayed to . Jesus performed many miracles but even he was not classed as a miracle.
