Well why not use those words? Just because someone years ago decided they where rude or dirty or something? Lots of people here get around the censorship by mis-spelling these "swear" words, and no-one complains, but when I post a few my post gets edited. Even though others use them as insults, and I simply listed a few.

FACE IT!! Swearing is AGAINST the rules of JoviTalk, just like the posting of "adult material" is against the rules of JoviTalk. Why not use these words? Coz they are rude and offensive. It doesnt matter who made them up or when they were described as "rude and offensive" but they are not acceptable here at JoviTalk. These are the rules which Peter set and you MUST abade by them. Simple. I personally cannot see why this is so hard to grasp!?!

I don't remember the song, but in the film don't they have electric shock collars on so every time they "swear" they get a shock? That's just a good example of how stupid censorship is.

And before anyone else starts complaining at me, I didn't even start this thread, I'm just offering up my opinions, the same as everyone else here and just as everyone is entitled to.

I can remember always wondering that! I never swear, not out of "puritanism" or because those words offend me at all. When people around me use them I realy don't mind. What gets me is people that seem to have forgotten all about "normal" words and can only swear instead.

I don't need to swear to get my points accross and definitely can't swear to express emotions, frustration or whatever. It just doesn't come naturally to me. Don't miss it at all though!

I understand what the rules are, but I just choose not to sit back and follow them blindly like you do, which you seem to do just to keep you mod position. I just think the rules suck, and I can't act normally here anymore.

Do you intend to go through life swearing all the time? Swearing at one and all? I sort of understand swearing for extreme situations, but not for normal, everyday things. I get your point of it being just words, etc. But that's how things stand.

There are worse rules in life than not being able to swear and / or post pics of naked women. I don't think it's such a different thing to refrain either. It's called self-control and it helps from time to time.

I don't see why it's such a big deal.

Neil, As a moderator yourself, you are acting very childish and in a extremely immature way. You are above most people here on the board, therefore you should be setting a good example to 'regular users' and NOT telling people how to post rude words or swear words. The rules are pointed out to EVERY users here when they signed up. If you didnt agree with the terms and conditions then you should not have signed up here and clicked the 'Decline' button instead of 'Accept'. You chose to agree to these rules and you are clearly ignoring them.

Pffft. I can not believe you think I dont swear "just" to keep my mod position. That is completely untrue. I dont swear here coz thats the rules and If I start swearing, then Peter may be forced into taking action against me and possible ban me. Thats why I do not swear. Again, if you dont like the rules, then step down from your moderator position and leave Jovitalk. If you dont wish to do either of these, then simply abide by the rules. Its as simple as that. If you do not like the rules, and disagree with three Main Moderators like Myself, Mike and Mouse, then contact Peter and let us know what he has to say about all this. Peters message board. Not Thomas Andersons.
