This guy *almost* makes Michael Jackson, the baby dangler, look like an upstanding father.

Still, one has to consider that this guy probably knows more about crocs than any other person on the planet, so it's not as dangerous an environment for him as it would be for most others.

AND it's not like he dangled the baby above the croc, as Jacko dangled his baby over the edge of the balcony, holding it in a far more questionable way than Steve was his baby.

I say **** the do-gooders in the media, they just want something to pick on.

exactly christo.

oif i happen to do it with a baby we'd probably bpoth end up getting eaten cos i dont have a ****ing clue about how to handle crocodiles but do we really think he would go anywhere near them himself never mind with his own child if he felt in danger or that anythign could go wrong?

there's much worse things that can happen to young babies trust me. case example. the year before last, a local couple from the next scheme from here got jailed because they were a pair of evil junkie ****s who didnt look after the kid.

one day the boyfriend tossed him about their living room 9literally tossed him off the walls) then locked the toddler in his room so they 2 cxould go and shoot up. strangelly enough the kid was dead when the eventually unlocked the door.

fair enough what steve done was stupid but can u imagine how well he must love his kids when u look at the way he loves animals most people cant even bear to touch?

I love Steve Irwin and I think he is amazing, he has an obvious love for all creatures, however I do think this is taking it a bit far. A one month old baby can hardly see let alone understand what his father is doing, if the child is somewhat older and he wants to teach him the danger and beauty of crocodiles that's fine but at this age it seems a bit pointless.
His daughter plays with snakes though.... and she's only 4!

I just saw a live and therefore unedited interview with the man in question. An interesting point he made is that he wouldn't put his kids on a horse because he thinks that horses are dangerous, given what he knows about them.

Also, he gave the show giving the interview the unedited tape from the zoo that shows much more than what the world has seen of this incident. It will be showed tomorrow night. I'll be watching and keep you all posted.

I don't think anyone is taking it too far. It is a stupid thing to do, even more if you can't hold a baby right.
