What you need to remember is that the big policies and what they stand for are pretty much whether the party in government agrees or not. It's the individual details that make the difference.
You got that right.

Also making the rounds was an interview that Kerry gave to the Harvard Crimson in 1970, in which he suggested disbanding the CIA and said, "I'm an internationalist. I'd like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.

You know he is considered a war hero because he saved a man's life in Vietnam. Then he throws his medals away and condemns the war when he gets home. Now when he's campaigning, he has the guy whose life he saved travel with him to talk him up at rallys. Now he's downplaying his anti-war stance when it's to his advantage. Seems like he wants to have it both ways. In other words, a true politician.

war hero my ballsacks.

both my great grandfathers fought in both wars. 1 stood for 48 hours in normandy after the d day landings to get a boat home. the other lied and said he was odler than he was to sign up in the 1st one as a boy and then lied to say he was younger so he could sign up in the second.

did they get a medal? no

where they a heroes? undoubtedly as with the many millions more

did they complain, moan bitch or run down their army, government, country and people afterwards? definetely not

and you know why? cause it was a different breed back then. simple as that. none of them wanted to go and fight but that didn't stop them all signing up en masse.

if this prick has the audicity to call himself a war hero then i really hope he's ashamed of himself.

I know what you mean Jim. I don't consider him a hero, although I do respect the fact that he did serve his time in the military. At least he wasn't a draft dodger like one of our past presidents.
