Default the joys of shopping

forgot how much i liked shopping. my girlfriend dragged my out last night to get kitted up for goign out with my birthday.

now the difference between guys and girls: she went out to buy something, anythign as long as she had somethign new to wear. on the other hand i thought k i want a nice black shirt cos i dont have one and feel like looking suave this weekend.

i get a black shirt easilly enough and she spends hours looking and not finding anythign then tries to convince me to go back into the shops so she can buy somethign just for the sake of not going hoem without anything

i got a pair of londsdale trainers too because ive needed new trainers for ages. the ones im wearing just now ive had for years and though i love them, they've seen better days. my girlfriends sister actually thought her dogs had chewed them up a while ago when she found them cos of the state they were in lol

anyways the moral of this story: guys shop better than girls, i'll be lookign smooth on saturday night.

No guys are impatient and buy the first thing they see.

i'm quite fussy with clothes yet still far more impulsive than any girl i've ever been shopping with. clothes are my main vice. i have far too many.

if i'm buying something fit for purpose, such as a shirt for a party, i know exactly what i'm looking for. if i've got a bit of cash spare though, i just buy something for the sake of it.

i used to do that then the amount of stuff i'd come across in my wardrobe that still had tags on it and i'd forgot i'd even bought gave me a kick up the arse.

now i waste my money on music gear and drink

God knows you're mostly right. These are generalizations of course - some guys love to shop - but I personally hate it. Taking me to a mall is my idea of torture. I mostly mail order so I don't have to go near a fashion store. Now take me to a bookstore or a music store and I can get lost for hours but that's not shopping as I see it.

Yes, but guys have less options to choose. There are a hundred differences in a black shirt for a woman, for instance.

And, yes, we also seem to believe in fate and go looking for something else. What's there to lose after all?
