your family should be important to you at this time- forget their irrational behavoiur at this time-it's normal for people facing bad news to just stick their heads in the sand, i would advise you to take a year out with the blessing of your university and gain enough strenght of character and faith to hopefully recover 100 % from your illness. keep close to your family
