I think anti-Semitism is blown way out of proportion. I think for the most part its just Israelis trying to label people who disagree with them. I don't think the movie is anti-Semitic. If the Jews were truly the ones who wanted Jesus killed, well, that's the truth then. I guess history must be anti-Semitic.

That is what I don't understand. Are we supposed to change history just to suit them?? It is what it is. Mel pretty much followed the Bible for this movie. Are they going to try and rewrite the Bible next so that they are portrayed in a better light??

exactly what I'm trying to point out.

I have some fairly controversial views and I love my country to the point where i can come across as arrogant abou tit and look down upon other countries, races, cultures etc....

BUT by the same token anyone can say anything they want about me or my country. Is that anti British or anti scottish or whatever?

of course not. anti semitism in probably over 90% of the time it's claimed, is just really a defence mechanism

You never know...we can't ever say anything critical about them. All that trouble with those vicious Palestinians, and then having the Holocaust in their past...we might have to let them rewrite the Bible.

anti-Semitism? I suppose it's like anything....if you want to see it, it will be there.

I saw the film last night - some of it was very, very difficult to watch. It was definitely not the sweet Sunday school version of Christ's sacrifice. Easter this year will carry some dramatic imagery for me.

I didn't see the anti-Semitism - if anything, the Romans were worse, but overall, it was the message of the gift of the sacrifice that I got from the film.
