The Ring was a very good flick, on par with The Others, another good suspense movie.

I didn't like The Ring - I thought it was stupid. I was scared at parts, but mostly I was just anxious to get out of the movie theatre... I din't like it at all, and the whole concept in the movie was so unbelievable that it just wasn't even scary. My friends told me that once I've seen it, I wouldn't be able to put a video cassette on anymore. Not the case for me - don't have any problems with video cassettes.

The shining... I've never been able to watch the movie completely. I've tried, but it's one scary movie, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch it all the way through...

The Ring has ONE scary part and that was it.. The rest was just "OH GOD THIS IS GONNA' BE SCARY!" then it isn't! It's pathetic! Seriously, A Nightmare On Elm Street is better.. Any 80's horror flick is better. The Ring was nothing ..

PG13 Horror sucks... EXCEPT for "Darkness Falls"

Have you seen it? It's incredible. Not the best I've seen, but still incredible. It's got scary parts all the way until the end.. and in theaters, it's just heart-pounding.. Now THAT will leave you awake but with your eyes CLOSED.

The Ring was okay, it had some gopd moments, like the scene where the little boy tells his mother about the girl... And the ending was good. The overall story was pretty weak, since there were holes big enough to drive a truck thru. But, it had it's moments.

But I agree, Freddy beats the shit out of any modern horror flick.

Lol - well said! This reminds me... Have you seen The Signs? That movie was probably the most illogical I have ever seen Some of the things were so badly done it completely ruined the movie for me - all I could think about was all the illogicalities in the movie. And this is said a lot, Mel Gibson being my absolutely favourite actor!
