The strangest thing that's ever happened to you...

Here's another creepy story. I was at school practicing in one of the school plays with a bunch of people outside the practice room. We were brainstorming ideas for part of the play and I came up with this silly dance sequence. I started dancing around, jumped up, and came down on my ankle instead of my feet. I heard this crack and I knew my ankle was broken. I was screaming like mad and it took the drama teacher/director forever to come out of the practice room because she thought I was acting!

My mom came to pick me up and drive me to the hospital. On the way there, we listened to the radio and it played No More Drama by Mary J Blige. I knew it was a sign.

I still kept going with the play until the drama teacher cut me from it. It was only because she refused to be flexible enough to accomidate my needs.

Almost exactly two years later, my brother and I were in two different school plays. His performance date was about a month before mine. I went to see his, and afterward, we went out to lunch. I got out of the car, stepped down funny, and broke my ankle again!

Luckily I wasn't cut from my second play because it was student-directed. I managed to pull through that one and finally perform, but I never was in another play again. Either I have ostioperosis or someone up there really hates my acting. I think it's both.
